Medical pedicure for healthy feet, nails, and professional foot care

Why A Medical Pedicure?

A medical pedicure goes beyond beauty. It focuses on hygiene and foot health, treating issues like dry skin, thick nails, calluses, and corns in a safe, sterile environment. Performed by podiatry professionals, it improves comfort, appearance, and overall foot wellness—ideal even for those with sensitive feet or diabetes.

Medical pedicure for foot health, callus care, and hygienic nail treatment
  • Safer Than Traditional Salons: Our board-certified podiatrist is on-site to assess any early signs of skin and nail diseases to prevent any worsening.
  • Surgical Grade Sterilization of Tools: We sterilized our instruments the same way as an operating room would in order to ensure a safe environment for our patients.
  • We only use doctor-approved cosmetics: All cosmetic products used during our medical pedicure are medical-grade and approved by our doctor for safety and quality.
  • Private Rooms: All our pedicure services include 2 separate private rooms. Services start in our private pedicure room and then end in our relaxing post-session room with red light therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

What is a medical pedicure?

A medical pedicure is a professional foot care treatment performed by a podiatrist or trained medical provider. Unlike a spa pedicure, it focuses on the health and hygiene of your feet — addressing issues like calluses, corns, thickened nails, ingrown nails, and fungal concerns, all in a sterile, clinical environment.

How is a medical pedicure different from a salon pedicure?

Salon pedicures are cosmetic and often performed with non-sterile tools, which can increase the risk of infection. Medical pedicures use hospital-grade sterilization, single-use instruments when necessary, and medical-grade products. The focus is not only on appearance but also on preventing and treating common foot problems.

Who can benefit from a medical pedicure?

Anyone who wants healthier feet can benefit, but medical pedicures are especially helpful for:
- Patients with diabetes or circulation issues
- People prone to ingrown toenails or thickened nails
- Those with fungal infections or foot odor
- Athletes with calluses, corns, or nail damage
- Anyone seeking a safe, hygienic alternative to salon pedicures

What happens during a medical pedicure?

During your visit, your nails are trimmed, shaped, and thinned if needed; cuticles are gently cleaned; calluses, corns, and dead skin are carefully reduced; steam therapy is applied to increase circulation, the skin is moisturized, and a relaxing massage is performed. Your choice of natural polish can be applied. The session is finished with red light therapy treatment in our relaxation room. If underlying issues like fungus or ingrown nails are found, your provider can begin treatment immediately.

Is a medical pedicure safe for diabetics?

Yes. In fact, medical pedicures are often recommended for diabetic patients because they minimize the risk of cuts, infections, and complications. Podiatrists are trained to handle high-risk feet safely.

Does insurance cover medical pedicures?

Medical pedicures are considered preventive or cosmetic and are not covered by insurance. However, FSA or HSA accounts may be used to pay for the service.
